From my Old World meets New World collection. This is a ready-made UNIQUE necklace in Oxidised Sterling silver with a uniquely handcrafted piece of Mother of Pearl (MOP). Inspired by history… the Venetian's bevelled mirror that I'm completely obsessed with. I’ve made a small limited edition gathering where old-world elegance meets clean modern simplicity wearable appearance and this is one of them.

Every piece is 100% handcrafted from ethically sourced Mother of Pearl – that's been pierced and sculpted by me from a plain antique unloved MOP gaming coin found from one of my treasure hunts in Paris. The piece has been securely riveted in 4 places right through the MOP and the silver backing - that's where the dots are.

The silver's surface textures are made from real linen cloth which is reflected at the back of the pendant, the results echo the tactility of the faraway world some of us once knew.

Near the clasp at one end of the chain, there is a decorative curly charm to accompany the chain.

• The necklace has 2 adjustable lengths: 17.9inch / 45.5cm and 16.7inch / 42.5cm
• The pendant is 2.8cm long and 2.1cm wide
• The Sterling silver has been oxidised
• Ethically sourced Mother of Pearl

*The oxidised patina is a surface treatment which over time will wear off bit by bit leaving you a lovely vintage look. You may however re-patina it for an overall grey finish at home using a simple non-toxic technique. Please contact seller for tips.
